I'm Emelia Hudson
. . . but, I go by Emmie. I grew up in Colorado but was so lucky to spend many of my summers on Nantucket. Nantucket is very special to me and I always have felt that I am part of the Nantucket community. In 2021 my family bought a house there - and like many people on Nantucket - we wanted to give the house a name. When we were sitting around throwing out ideas I blurted out, "We're not local, but . . . we're lowkey local." It stuck.
The more I thought about it, the more I felt like lowkey local actually means something. Like me, there are people who grew up coming back to this special place every year, and even though they don’t live here they feel like they are part of this island. It’s a second home. I wanted to create something to pass that along. I also wanted to find a way to give back to this place that has become a big part of me.
Nantucket Conservation Foundation
So, I decided to start my business! I found these amazing, super-soft hoodies that get better the more you wear them, and picked out colors that remind me of Nantucket. I love them. I also created decals (great for your car or laptop!), and then came the hats! Finally, because I want to give back to Nantucket, I decided to donate a part of my sales proceeds to the Nantucket Conservation Foundation. They do so many great things for Nantucket that I wanted to help too. I hope you love the hoodies (+ decals and hats!) and hope you can help us – help Nantucket stay special. Thank you!

Our classic hoodies are 100% cotton, made in the USA. They're extremely soft, thicker than most and have great loft. They are generously sized and tightly spun for added durability. They are also pigment dyed (except the white and navy) so be sure to wash in cold water with like colors – the colors may transfer and/or fade. The garment dye creates unique and natural variances in texture, distress, and shade. These variances are intentional and are not considered defective.
